Raise the profile of science within your school and recognise high-achieving and motivated senior science and mathematics students by nominating them as UQ Science Ambassadors.
Ambassadors will champion science at your school by developing and delivering events, including National Science Week activities, and encouraging other senior science students to share their experiences with students in all years.
Over the past 20 years, thousands of students from schools across Queensland have participated in the program.
Each year, ambassadors summarise their activities and achievements in a written or video report. An academic panel judges entries to award prizes for the:
- Best Ambassador Schools
- Best New Ambassador Schools
- Best Ambassadors
- Best Ambassador Teachers
- Best Ambassador Scientific Technician (new category).
The UQ Science Ambassador Program is run via participating school science departments. If you school is not currently involved in the ambassador program, speak to your school science teachers to express your interest.
