Recognition for promising UQ biomedical research

A new insect-specific flavivirus platoform for the design of vaccines and diagnostics from Professor Roy Hall and UQ School of Chemistry and Molecular BiosciencesDr Jody Hobson-Peters, and Dr Henry De Malmanche, is among four University of Queensland (UQ) research projects to receive support from Australia’s national biotech incubator - CUREator.

Researchers partnering with UQ’s commercialisation company UniQuest have secured $2 million to establish two startup companies and progress two projects focused on health security under the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF)’s national $40 million Brandon BioCatalyst-run CUREator incubator.
