Our workshops manufacture, repair, and calibrate a wide range of equipment used for teaching and research.
We provide services to all UQ faculties to support undergraduate teaching and postgraduate research activities, research groups, and Centres of Excellence. We offer selected services on-location in your lab or office.

- submit your job request
- track your job's progress
Complete and attach the Hazardous Equipment Work form (PDF, 111.3 KB) for service in your lab or office.
Not registered? Email archibus@uq.edu to register as a new user.
Our process
After you submit your job request in Archibus:
- You'll receive a job ID.
- Your job is allocated to a technician who'll assess it.
- Our technician may contact you.
- Your job is tracked online.
- You're notified when your job is complete.
- You're given 7 days to assess our work.
- If you're satisfied, we'll bill you.
Workshop safety
When you visit our workshop, you're required to:
- wear enclosed footwear with covered heels and toes
- be accompanied by a workshop staff member in operational areas
- observe directions at all times.
