Earlier this year, a friendship and collaborative partnership over 100 years in the making was formalised through the signing of a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) between the UQ Gatton Past Students’ Association (UQGPSA) and The University of Queensland. The signing event took place in the historic Foundation Building, once the administrative heart of UQ’s Gatton Campus and well-known to UQGPSA members, many who attended the Queensland Agricultural College (QAC) which opened in 1897. In 1990, QAC joined UQ.
Attending the ceremony were the UQGPSA Committee, the Science Gatton Campus Executive Committee and leaders and staff from Advancement and Community Engagement. The level of commitment to this organisation and its future is clear and the signing marks a new stage for a valued partnership.
