Montana Hickey

I am a second year Bachelor of Science student, majoring in Plant Science. I began studying in a dual degree in Science / Arts, with German as my Arts major, however I have since decided my passion is in science and plants.  I am particularly interested in seeds and their development, as well as how they cope with adversity.

During my first year, I really enjoyed the new and sometimes uncomfortable change to university life. I discovered a lot about myself, made many new friends, studied hard, was exposed to science research though the ASPinS program and became very used to the train trip between the Gold Coast and Brisbane!

This year I am looking forward to conducting research as part of the ASPinS program, diving into the wonders of Plant Science and continuing to grow as a person.

In my free time I love dance, gardening, card/board games, watching movies and spending time with friends and family!
