Lucy Watts

I am a fourth year Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) student, majoring in Biomedicine and Biomedical Engineering.

I have always loved both physics and biology, and have had an interest in medicine and medical technology. In studying both science and engineering I hope to eventually work in a career that bridges the gap between technology, medicine and biology, through the application of engineering principles and design concepts for healthcare purposes. Biomedical researchers work towards producing innovations that integrate and move beyond discipline-specific approaches, and this is something that really excites me.

When I'm not studying I love to travel, spend time with friends and paint. I enjoy new experiences and meeting new people; I feel like this is one of the best ways to learn and and grow.
