Georgianna Berthaly-Martyn

I’m a third-year student studying a Bachelors of Mathematics/Science (majoring in Chemistry for the BSc component). When I’m not learning something new about maths or molecules I like to enjoy some downtime reading books or exploring the great outdoors.

I chose to study at UQ due to the depth and variety offered by the science faculty courses, and the strong connections the uni has with world class research groups. While starting uni was a daunting experience at first, I soon found my feet and the more I got involved through mentoring and the ASPinS research program, the more amazing the whole experience became. While I still don’t know exactly where my degree will take me, I’m happy for now to keep studying what I love and learning about what career opportunities are out there.
