Experience Science

Give senior high school students an insight into studying science at UQ through our annual Experience Science event.

Experience Science is organised by experts from UQ and industry who demonstrate how science is applied in industry and everyday life through hands-on, interactive workshops.

The free event is open to students in years 10 to 12 and is held in July.

Experience Science 2019 will be held on 12, 16, 17 and 18 July.

The schedule for each day is the same.

Bus parking at UQ: Apply for special consideration

We appreciate that school groups often travel long distances for Experience Science.

Due to limited bus parking at the UQ Lucia campus we can't accommodate every request for special consideration.

We give preference to school groups travelling the farthest.

To apply for campus bus parking during Experience Science, contact us as soon as possible so we can assess your request and arrange permits if you are eligible.

We can't organise bus parking permits on the morning of the event, so plan ahead to avoid disappointment.

Note: buses that park in Brisbane City Council bus stops or other areas of UQ St Lucia may be issued with a parking fine.
