The University of Queensland’s Dr Cullan Howlett has been awarded the 2026 Pawsey Medal from the Australian Academy of Science for his outstanding contributions to physics research.
Using large galaxy surveys and advanced simulations, Dr Howlett’s research seeks to uncover one of the biggest mysteries in physics, Dark Energy. Dr Howlett’s work contributes to major international projects that together will chart the motions of over 40 million galaxies, revealing how the Universe evolved, and where it may be headed.
